Yogesh Shankar Shivaling is a gifted artist born in a family of musicians, from where he developed his interest towards music. He started his music lessons at home with his father Shri Shankar Shivaling and Grandfather Shri Kashinath Shivaling. He learnt Tabla, Guitar, Dholak, Harmonium etc. from his father, who himself is a maestro vocalist (Light Music) and even masters many musical instruments namely Harmonium, Synthesiser, Tabla, Drums etc.

About his grandfather, Shri Kashinath Shivaling was a well known Hindustani Classical vocalist from 'Gwaliar Gharana'. He was associated with many great musicians of his time such as Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki, Pt. Vaze and many more. All these great artists used to gather at their residence during Shivratri Jagran where everyone performed their art throughout the night.

Yogesh has been co-ordinating the Mumbai Music Group from past 16 years and during this period he has been also been actively part of Sahaja Yoga music events. He is being been blessed with opportunities by Shri Mataji to perform in Her Divine presence, many times. He is now associated with Shri P.K.Salve Kala Pratishthan and teaches Tabla from past one year.
