By the Blessings and Divine Grace of our H. H. Shri Mataji a series of workshops for yuva shakti will be held at the Shri P.K. Salve Kala Pratishthan Music Academy. This will be conducted by Dr. Arun Apte, Pt. Subaramanian, Ustad Iqbal Khan, Mr. Buddhiprakash Sharma and Mrs. Durga Kkasturi.

Theme : Enhancing the power of Swadhistan chakra

The workshops will focus on the various aspects of the Swadhistan chakra which include creativity, observation, absorption, patience, attention and aesthetics. We will work on these aspects and their activation through music.

The workshops will be held from 2nd to 5th January 2008

Accommodation

Participants are requested to bring warm clothes and sleeping bags as it will be cold during the night in Vaitarna.

Registration and charges

All those who wish to attend the workshops are requested to register online. on the website of the academy at www.pksacademy.com/Registration.html .

The contribution for the workshop is as follows:

Adult: Rs. 2500 (This includes meals and accommodation).

Children bellow 10 years: No charge.

Payment

Please pay in Indian Rupees cash. Cheques are also accepted in the name of Shri P.K. Salve Kala Pratishthan.

Guidelines

Kindly take into consideration the following guidelines

General rules

- Students are allowed to go out for shopping or other but must return by 10:00 pm after which time the academy gates are closed until morning for security reasons.

- Men and boys are requested to return to their hostel by 11:00 pm after which the gates of the main building are locked by security staff. The same applies for girls.

- Out of respect and consideration for other Participants, all noise must be reduced by 11:00 pm.

- Sahaja culture should be respected within as well as outside the academy. Participants who misbehave in any way will be asked to leave the academy.

- If any unusual behavior is noticed it must be reported immediately to the principal.

- Dress code should be dignified and suitable in the academy, its environment and to the people who live there.

Premises

- It is requested that all infrastructure and material that has been set up for the benefit of all students be respected.

- All items, games and books must be treated with respect and kept carefully in their places.

- All equipment and instruments that are in the classrooms are there for the students and must be handled with respect and care.

Purchases

- For purchase of instruments and dance costumes the academy will provide a list of recommended shops but will not take any responsibility for the purchase of these items.

Personal finances

- Participants should have sufficient funds with them for different purposes (e.g. Puja money, traveling/transport, general purchases, instruments, phone, internet, fees for extension of visitor or student visas or other except tourist visa, etc)

Important Information

- Shri P.K Slave Kala Pratishthan is not on the list of Government institutions

- Students should ensure that their visas are valid for the right amount of time they wish to stay. Tourist visas are not extendable in India.

- Arrival and departure details of all students must be given to the academy in a duplicate copy. The airport must be specified as there is an International and a Domestic airport in Mumbai.

- For the benevolence of students the academy has arranged Internet facility that costs Rs.40/- per hour. While using this service all students should sign the register honestly stating the amount of time spent on the Internet. Payment should be made directly to the person responsible.

- The academy is located in a rural area where medical facilities are negligible (closest Doctor can reach the academy within half an hour). Students should bring their necessary medicines.

Weather and Climate

- November to end of February the weather is warm, sometimes hot during the day and nights are cool.
