| About the
subject: |
| |
|
Instruments
used as accompaniment not only lend a good support to
the vocalist, but also enhance the quality of music.
Therefore even the solo concert becomes a team-work. A
good understanding between the main performer and the
accompanist is desirable otherwise lack of harmony can
affect the performance. The name “TABLA” seems to
have been derived from the Arabian Drum called
“TABLA” It is believed that the Sufi Saint
Ameer Khusrau had evolved this instrument by
dividing the PAKHAWAJ, an ancient percussion
instrument into two pieces |
|
Indian
music is considered sublime and has a very vast and rich
tradition. Whilst music is the bliss, Sahaja music is
divine bliss. |
