7 day workshop from 28th December 2008 to 3rd January 2009.

By the Blessings and Divine Grace of our Holy Mother, a seven day workshop will be held in Shri P.K. Salve Kala Pratishthan Music Academy. This will be conducted by Dr. Arun Apte, Ustad Iqbal Khan, Mr. Buddhiprakash Sharma and Mrs. Durga Kkasturi.

How to use different Musical methods to achieve an easy, quick and deep state of Meditation.

How to sing the Maha Mantras and Sahaj mantras using proper articulation, pronunciation, notes and rhythm.

How to sing Bhajans with the proper articulation, pronunciation, devotion and rhythm.

Features an introduction to different Talas and rhythms. This workshop will demonstrate how rhythm accompanies Bhajans and Arti.

Exercises through Kuchipudi Dance including basic movements and the physical representation of Shlokas and the Maha Mantras.

  An introduction to Indian Miniature drawing and painting.

 How to organize a Havan, the ingredients needed for a Havan and the Mantras and Stotras of a Havan.

Please send an email to drarunapte@yahoo.co.in with your name, gender and country as well as your scheduled departure from the academy. Alternatively the Shri P. K. Salve Academy will have a stall at the Christmas Puja venue where you will be able to register or reconfirm your place at the workshop.

Rs. 1000/- per day per person.
Rs. 7000/- for the duration of the whole workshop.
(The charges include the workshop, lodging and food.)

Please pay in Indian Rupees in cash at the Academy. Card Machines are not available. Further note that ATM machines are not available near the Academy.

Participants are requested to bring warm clothes and sleeping bags as it will be cold (25°C) in Vaitarna.

Transport from the Puja (Pune) to the Academy will be available on 27th Dec.
If transport from the Academy to the airport is desired then necessary details should be given in advance to Dr. Arun Apte (contact details below) or at the stall when registering.
Charges for transport will be made separately for each journey. For example:
     - From Pune to the Academy – Approx. Rs 500 per person in bus provided.
     - From Vaitarna to the airport – Approx Rs 2300 per car. Maximum 4 persons per car.
